Chrysler says the cabin of the Airflow evokes “the appeal of a first-class lounge that delivers a comfortable space between home and work”. Inside, the Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept is modern and spacious, integrating the lightness of Ice Grey and the warmth of Cyprus Copper accents to achieve a rich interior feel. Cyprus Copper accents highlight the top of the panoramic glass roof as well as select surfaces of the 22-inch wheels. The Galaxy Black exterior unites with Cyprus Copper accents both inside and out to imprint the latest Airflow iteration with its own refined, sophisticated design. The diffuser shape of the lower rear fascia highlights the aerodynamic, smooth underbody, a key to achieving optimum driving range. Both Airflow Concepts have shown welcome, departure, and animated lighting, including a unique Aqua color that signifies the vehicle is charging. A Crystal LED taillight runs the full width of the vehicle, accentuating the wide stance. Upfront, the Airflow Graphite Concept announces its electric aesthetic with the new Chrysler “wing” logo tied into a cross-car grille light blade illuminated with Crystal LED lighting. This current setup is aimed at delivering a maximum range achieving up to 400 miles of range on a single charge. The STLA Large architecture was designed to accommodate larger capacity EDMs, so it wouldn’t be far off to see a possible high-performance version of the Airflow Concept in the future. Based on the STLA Large architecture, the Airflow Concept features all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability and is powered by two 150 kW (201 horsepower) electric drive motors (EDMs), one in the front and one in the rear (for a combined output of 402 horsepower). The Airflow Graphite Concept features a streamlined, dynamic design proportion that achieves an elegant, athletic profile while increasing EV range. Highlighted with a Galaxy Black exterior color and Cyprus Copper accents both inside and out, the Airflow Graphite Concept has a more urban look than the Arctic White version represented at the CES event. (Chrysler).Īccording to Chrysler, the early development process included several potential design expressions, and that included the Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept. This latest concept offers a reimagined look at a vehicle destined for production for the 2025 model year. The Airflow Concept made its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this year, to much positive attention.
